Karlsruhe May 23rd, 1998 - VI Open International Kung Fu Wushu Championship

Our school participated in the sixth International Kung Fu Championship. This tournament, organized by Sifu Andreas Garski, took part in Graben-Neudorf (a little town near Karlsruhe - Germany).

Our team:
Luigi Martone (coach), Salvatore Mauriello,
Pierfrancesco Girolami e Davide Bastianelli.

Andreas Garski prepared many categories, from traditional to modern forms, long and short weapons, tai chi chuan, fighting categories. We want to underline the incredible technical level: both in the forms and fighting, all the pupils did their best, especially in the advanced categories (more than 4 years of practice): Polish Team obtained the first places, while Girolami and Mauriello the forth and the fifth one.

This Tournament had a great organization and took part in a great sporting centre. About 400 people came into the event to see the Master Exhibition with Germany, ,Italy, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland.

We thank Sifu Garski and his wife Evelyn for their hospitality. We had a great time in Germany and we hope we can participate in a new Tournament, maybe with a bigger Italian Team.
