Karlsruhe May 15th-16th, 1999 - VII Open International Kung Fu/Wushu Championships
On the 15th and 16th of May our school was invited, for the second year, in the VII Open International
Kung Fu Championship kept in Karlsruhe (Germany).
First of all, we have to mention Sifu Andreas Garski and his wife Evelyn because in this year, as the last one, organized a great event. They created an incredible group: so we felt a fantastic experience. This Tournament opened with a little ceremony. There were teams and Sifu from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway and Poland. Then the forms tournament began. Because of a big participation, Garski divided pupils into many categories: Traditional and Modern Wushu. There were 3 different squares: free hands, short and long weapons. Each category was divided in Traditional and Modern, but also in years of practice. In the same time, those presents had the possibility to see fighting matches and Tuishou: in this case categories was created with the weight of athletes.  The Italian Team with Sifu Garski, Padberg Evenboer and Rieta Finally our school reached great results. In every categories we have competed, we obtained the following medals: a second and fifth place in Hung Ga Free Hands Form - advanced pupils - with Girolami Pierfrancesco and Mauriello Salvatore. In the Hung Ga Weapons Form - advanced pupils - Girolami Pierfrancesco and Mauriello Salvatore gained forth place both. Instead, Bastianelli Davide and Mariano Sofia went up on the third place of the podium in the male and female Fighting Categories. In the evening, 8pm, we participate in Exhibition with all the schools: we really appreciated Sifu Andreas Garski and Vernon Rieta performances: the highest technical level. In the weekend we had the opportunity to join the technical Hung Ga stage organized by Sifu Vernon Rieta. Next appointment in Rome on the 23rd May 1999 in the First Ehga Italia Hung Ga Stage with Sifu Andreas Garski and Vernon Rieta.
